Marsha Chan
Faculty Emeritus, Mission College, US
As a long-time teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL), one of my passions is teaching pronunciation and coaching accent modification. I am Faculty Emeritus at Mission College, where I taught for over 30 years, had a great experience with students from all walks of life all over the world, and garnered a few awards: http://missioncollege.edu/-profiles/chan_marsha.html.
I have published a book, CDs, and DVDs on pronunciation as well as pronunciation articles and chapters in books and conference proceedings. I incorporate pronunciation into all of my other ESL books that don’t have “pronunciation” in the title. I wrote all of the pronunciation lessons for four levels of Pearson English Interactive, an online curriculum used around the world. As Pronunciation Doctor on Youtube, I offer thousands of free videos for English language learners at http://www.youtube.com/PronunciationDoctor. I am Co-founder and Co-coordinator of CATESOL's Teaching of Pronunciation Interest Group (TOP-IG).
